Fork Travel and the Rule of Five

 

Our frames are designed around a 130mm fork which is chosen specifically to maintain dynamic geometry. The T16 will happily accept a 120 to 140mm fork and depending on your choice this will alter the static geometry slightly. The Rule of Five states that for every 10mm of fork travel you will see:-

+/- 5mm Reach

+/- 5mm BB drop

+/- 0.5° Head angle

+/- 0.5° Seat angle

Our standard colours are tried and tested colours that we know and trust to look great on our frames.

• High Gloss Black is the best black powdercoat available. Developed by Prismatic Powders, it has an incredibly deep, mirror like finish.
• Astatic Red is a deep cherry red polyester solid tone powder coat with a high gloss finish.
• Curry is an 'off-yellow' mustard-like polyester solid tone powder coat with a glossy finish.
• Spring Purple is a pastel violet polyester solid tone powder coat with a glossy finish.

We can do custom colours for an upcharge of £250. Please get in touch and I'll be happy to help.

Your new frame will be carefully wrapped and shipped in a recycled bicycle box.

 

 

We're a small scale manufacturer and utilising recycled boxes is not only good for the environment but means you're only paying for the important part - the frame itself!

 

 

You can now collect your frame from the workshop and save on shipping fees.

I stand behind my work, Dawley Bikes’ warranty policy is simple - if there’s a problem with your frame and I’m at fault through either manufacturing or materials I will put it right. At my own cost. From 3 years following original purchase.

 

 

 

 

 

Repairs & Crash Replacement

 

 

Steel frames are wonderfully repairable. If you have a problem with your frame that was caused by you, by accident I will be happy to quote the best prices on any repairs.

 

 

If the worst happens and the frame isn’t repairable I can offer a crash replacement frame at a reduced rate.

 

 

 

 

 

Please note:

 

 

Dawley Bikes’ warranty and crash replacement is valid for the lifetime of the frame for the first owner only. Subsequent owners are welcome to take advantage of my repairs service.

 

 

All warranty issues will be dealt with on a case by case basis and are at the sole discretion of myself.

 

 

I will need to get the frame in the workshop for evaluation before a final decision can be made on how we proceed.

 

 

Any shipping costs involved in getting the frame back to Dawley Bikes are the responsibility of the you, the owner. Shipping back to you is covered under the warranty/ repairs/ crash replacement.

If you’re in the UK, VAT at 20% will be applied at checkout.

 

If you're outside the UK your sales tax will be handled by customs at the time of shipping.
